Very Concerned about Jean Hay Bright?s chances.

Dear Sir or madam:

I am a loyal Democrat from Connecticut and I am very concerned about Jean Hay Bright's Chances even though she should be winning based on the notion that a vote for Olympia Snowe is a vote to continue the Senate Majority for the GOP based on 6 other close races and nothing can be taken for granted. I want the Dems to pick up this seat in the Senate. I have hoped all year, but here is the catch, there hasn't been a poll in Maine for the Senate in a while, so maybe the absence of polls can be used as a tool to give voters renewed hope that picking up this Senate seat is once again a possibility.

I look forward to your reply, and holding onto hope that the Democratic tide can be large enough that Snowe can be defeated and we can have a "bonus" seat in a very blue Maine (which it is, in Presidential/Governors elections).

I am trying to do my part to help. I hope you do better in the polls, and here is some information to help. Please feel free to contact me with any questions by e-mail.

Very good reasons to give the Jean Hay Bright a chance this November.

Jean Hay Bright is running against Olympia Snowe in a very blue Maine. Snowe is well-liked, but she is a rubber stamp for a lot of Bush's stuff, and in a state as blue as Maine, I know that the voters don't want a Republican majority, so therefore Mainers should consider voting for Jean Hay Bright the very reason that voting for Snowe is a vote for a GOP majority. With all the close races it could have major implications, and could go a long way. The close races are explained below.

Maine voters simply need to ask- Continuation of the GOP majority, is it worth it? Do we still want that? I'm providing your campaign, and all those voters with the simple, direct answer.

The Latest Rasmussen poll shows Snowe leading 66% to 26%, but the election is still quite a ways off. Mainards may like Snowe but Mainers need to be reminded that they don't like the GOP majority. I put my trust in them, therefore when push comes to shove, given this valuable piece of information that if you aren't afraid to stand up and use in the correct way, I trust the Maine voters to reject Snowe for that very reason.

As a resident from Connecticut who cares about the future of this country, I am trying to hammer home this simple idea home to all voters who are discouraged by the GOP policies regardless of party affiliation or ideology. I therefore trust, that when push comes to shove and have this information I'm sharing, that they will use it to support whatever best interests they have.

There are 4 very possible pickups in Missouri, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Tennessee, and now a 5th one with Montana getting close with all polls there now showing Tester and Morrison both moving ahead of Burns.

Nothing can be taken for granted, however. We need to pick up extra races as "back up." Maine Democrats, Independents, and Moderate Republicans: If you disagree with the direction Bush and the Republican Party, a vote for Olympia Snowe is a vote for the continuation of the Republican Majority and this mess. If you can't bring yourself to vote Democrat for whatever reason is your business, consider voting Independent because of the basic principle that every vote against Olympia Snowe helps, because we need this majority.

I vacation to Maine almost every summer (Ogunquit).

Finally, and most importantly, don't be afraid to vote due to poll numbers. A large enough turnout can upset the pre-election polls because enough of you didn't give up hope and decided to make a difference.

I encourage you to tell all the voters on your call lists (incorporate it into script that phone workers use to make phone calls) to please consider all of these factors when you vote this November.

Thank you for reading and considering these important views.

Olympia Snowe has been in Congress all of my adult life. She is making decisions based entirely on her position on the threshold of Republican leadership in the Senate and not as a representative of her constituents.

Send her home to re-connect with those constituents: Vote for her opponent, Jean Hay Bright.

I understand the Progressive Patriots have decided to get behind Jean Hay Bright for US Senator to replace Olympia Snow. Now the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee should do the same. Mainers want a change and Jean Hay Bright is speaking their minds. Support Jean Hay Bright!

This is a winable seat and, as senate seats go, a cheap one to support. Send some resources!

We need to support pro-peace candidates like Jean Hay Bright and unseat so-called "moderate" Republicans who actually support the radical Bush administration most of the time.

please support Jean Hay Bright for senate to replace Olympia Snow!
Even if we may not support everything she sstands for 100%, it is worth while to get rid of sen. Snow who supports the Bush line completely.

I surely support Jean Hay Bright for Senate if she is ready to get out of Iraq and allow the Iraq's to govern themselves. We had no business there in the first place.

Democrats all over the country need to throw their support behind Jean Hay Bright for U.S. Senate in Maine who has been campaigning on a pro-peace, anti-war platform for more than a year. We need people in our government that are not just in it for themselves, who listen to their constituents and oppose more outrageous spending of our tax dollars for a war with no end in site. The cost of the war is astronomical. We are spending $8 billion a month in Iraq. That's $2 billion each week, $267 million each day, or $11 million each hour! There are more proactive ways to protect ourselves from terrorist attacks. For what we spend in three weeks, we could make needed improvements in order to properly secure our public transportation systems. For what we spend in five days, we could put radiation detectors in all of our ports. And for two days in Iraq, we could screen all air cargo. Let's start heading the nation in the direction of hope and progress instead of remaining in a world of fear and apathy.
I strongly suggest that the DSCC (Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee) and Russ Feingold's Progressive Patriots Fund expressly endorse and contribute to Jean's campaign. One by one we can turn the world around.

The Republican-dominated Congress of the past several years has brought many detrimental things upon this nation (war, environmental degredation, economic problems, etc.) It's time for Democrats to get control again!

Wee need to do whatever it takes to bring the troops home and leave Iraq to manage its own affairs. We are not police to the world.

I grew up in Maine and I know that Jean Hay Bright is a good candidate who deserves our support. We need to support everyone who can stand up to Bush on all issues, especially getting us out of Iraq.

We have been with Bush now for 2 terms, and with the war on Terrior and in Iraq, all we really have accomplished is angering the rest of the world and loseing support allies. When we really need them, they might not be their to help. As I talk with people of all nations and all religions it goes one of two ways, either they don't blame Americans but blame the president, or they blame both. It's more then time to pull our troops out, and Agafastand claimed responsibility to the Twin Tower attack, not Iraq. With all our intelligence I must ask, where is Bin Laudin??

Support Jean Hay Bright for U.S. Senate in Maine. All those who oppose the illegal war in Iraq should receive Democratic support. The present administration is tearing apart this country just as it was torn a part in Vietnam. And yes I am old enough to remember that. They are even condoning torture. And they overlook brutal acts against the civil population. Perhaps this administration is just using Iraq as a training ground before it brings back those men and women to police the United States. Think about it.

Alas, I don't have *any* money to contribute (being forced to scrape by on disability and late parent's fed. pension
mo. by mo), but support *ANYONE* running against Bush's pro-war/pollution/Armageddon crowd! Guarantee if I ever got
the funds in time, I'd contribute - I want Bush and crowd stopped *very* badly... (Never trusted him to begin with.)

You must use your financial resources to get Jean Bright elected to Congress. She rsepresents the best of the Democratic philosophy. We must get Olympia Snowe, who is a hawk, out so that we can save our country. The U.S. is in deep peril. You must speak out with vigor.

Olympia Snowe has been fully engaged in taking our country in the wrong direction, and she shows no signs of letting up. Senators Snowe and Collins are so blinded by ambition they fail to recognize that there is a more intelligent way for America to lead the world. It is time to elect Jean Hay Bright.

Please support Jean Hay Bright for Senate in Maine. We must do all we can to remove Olympia Snowe, whose hawkish, rubber stamped support of George Bush has put our country in grave danger. Thank you.
