Why Are You Still Refusing To Even Consider Single Payer Health Care?!

I fully support Medicare For All. I strongly encourage you to do everything you can to champion and pass Senator Sanders' American Health Security Act of 2009 (S. 703/S.A. 2837) or Representative Conyers' Expanded and Improved Medicare for All Act (HR 676). At a minimum, health care reform should include an aggressive public option--reform that will give all Americans an affordable alternative to private insurance if they want one, not "reform" that will result in more and more money being given to for-profit private insurance companies. While a "public option" is far inferior to Medicare For All, it will at least help increase the availability of health care to more Americans.

Medicare For All will result in a far superior health care system than either the House or the Senate "Health Insurance Reform" bills could ever provide.

Medicare For All is the most effective reform to assure universal coverage, choice of doctor, and real cost controls that will end the financial and healthcare insecurity faced by American families and American businesses.

The majority of physicians in the United States are in favor of national health insurance system. A study published in 2008 in Annals of Internal Medicine, a leading medical journal, showed 59% of physicians "support government legislation to estabL.national health insurance," while 32% oppose it and 9% are neutral. This represented an increase of 10 percentage points as compared with a similar survey in 2002 in which support for such legislation stood at 49% of physicians. Among the general U.S. public, recent polling ratings for single-payer are apparently dependent on wording, ranging from 49% to 65% in favor.

Please support Medicare For All--a single payer, national health insurance plan that includes all Americans and leaves nobody out. No other issue so directly impacts Americans. It's time to guarantee every American healthcare they need, through a single-payer system, as in an improved and expanded Medicare for All.

Without a single payor option for healthcare, healthcare agencies will have cart-blanche to charge whatever they see fit which will provide them the maximum profit. We need a single payor system to keep them in check.

Forcing everyone to be at the mercy of the rapacious insurance companies is not reform, at all. Forcing people to pay for something they will still have to pay for when they actually need is a betrayal of your responsiblility as representatives elected by the public.

Most of the public are no longer the uneducated, befuddled and misinformed patsies they were 20 years ago. They want and are willing to pay for a real single-payer system. They are not willing, or able, to pay 30% more for the same inadequate coverage they have had.
They are getting mad enough, though, that they may vote for Republicans just to send a message to those that fail to work for their interests.

If there is a mandate for everyone to buy insurance, you need a public option to force insurance companies to keep their rates competitive.

It is important to persist with Public Option inclusion.
Pleas pay attention to your liberal base and the *want to be inspired "Independents.

If we have a Pentagon budget of over $ 700 billion per year, an expenditure of $ 33 billion for bringing more civilian death, destruction, and warfare to Afghanistan -- we should be able to "pass" a healthcare reform bill that includes the "single paper option"!

If healthcare reform bill has to be passed without the consent of a single Republican -- by golly, get the "single payer option" included in such a bill!

Why are you still refusing to do what the majority of Americans want? We want a single payer health plan.

I urge you to support Single Payer health care. It is the most efficient way to distribute health care to every American. We deserve the best health our money can buy. Single Payer will keep health care costs to a minimum.

Moreover, failure to support Single Payer health care is political suicide in American politics. Please don't allow this to happen to YOUR career. Support Single Payer now!

Single Payer should be back on the table. It dramatically reduces cost and promises even more savings over time versus and insurance-company-based system, prevents the worst abuses of medicine being treated as a profit center, and provides the best chance of including everyone under the system. It also returns the decisions regarding medical to the doctors and their patients.

We think that if our Senators can have the Public Option, so should everyone. The option of Medicare for All is the best option for America, where we can join the rest of the leading nations of the world. Why should we be content to stay behind in adequate health care for all.

Someone you know has a diminished quality of life because of lack of access to affordable health care. This issue is more important than profit-making.

Every country I know of that has single-payer health care has not only healthier citizens, but also happier ones. If we're not even willing to consider this, who are we? Do we really care that little about our fellow Americans? And ourselves?

Why protect insurance and drug companies?? The only reform necessary is a single-payer system or a really STRONG public option.

It's a simple equation. Without some sort of Single-Payer option, or a Public Option, health care reform is NOT reform. Passing a bill that lacks the muscle to do the job simply shuffles billions more in profits to the Insurance Companies. Unacceptable!

This "reform" bill on health is only a cover for corporate take over of health care. More big business greedy money grab! and YOU are allowing them to do this .. actually you are making it happen, when you could be doing so much more!

You know that the only way that Americans can get a quality health care system is if there is a single payer OR public option! So why are you advocating away from this direction?

You are not providing change we can believe in on this front! Please changer you direction to allow American's to have REAL health care!

This is what the people want. This is the only true reform. Everything else is pandering to the insurance corporations. That model doesn't work and that's a fact.

Actually, Democrats' actions, particularly the totally, blatantly corrupt bogus "Baucus Caucus'"action taking Single Payer off the table from the start and canning even a weak token Public Option spoke volumes so it's really not necessary to send a spin-letter back. The CasinoCare campaign contribution fix was in from the start. It's going to cost the Democrats the House, and DESERVEDLY SO!!!! Think about it.

Single payer is clearly the best way to provide quality and affordable health care for all.

The ONLY Health Care reform that will mean anything is: Immediate legislation that will INITIATE the total destruction of our current obscene, predatory, psychopathic, exploitative, uncivilized, private for personal greed, mindless, inhuman system of NON Health Care...that the evil individuals who operate this criminal mafia like con spend billions to say "the best health care system in the world".
In fact, the best health care system in the world is probably France, followed by many other CIVILIZED countries.....at least 36 ahead of the USA. We are France's polar opposite. We, the USA, are brutalized and demeaned by health care providers! It is wrong, it is IMMORAL, it is INHUMAN!! Single Payer is a must. It is FAIR. It is CIVIL. A Good and Proper government is OBLIGATED to provide total health care on every level for ALL of its citizens. It should and could be totally free of financial burden. We are all Human Beings who are destined to get old, to get sick and to die. WE ALL MUST HAVE HEALTH CARE! That is the true fact of life! We are currently being exploited and greatly abused simply because we ARE human. Wake UP EVERYONE! NOT ONE concession to the current health care system is acceptable. ALL current health care providers , save the government ones....must DIE!
