Apparently the so called concern for our troops by our elected officials does not include stopping these unlawful invasions we have been forced into by both our major political parties.
We the citizens of the United States have never wanted to be aggressors, as you have now made us. We ask that you listen to those you are supposed to be representing and cease and desist these unconstitutional wars of aggression.

The terrorist attack of drug trafficking that has targeted America's youth for how long? The ones that live get to go to prisons for profit and have their American rights stripped for PROFIT? This is ludicrous! Americans PAY our public servants to PROTECT them and their children and this includes their civil rights, liberties and freedoms! Put OUR troops on the border and STOP drugs trafficking empire and DEFUND the CIA! ( meaning NO tax dollars for any drug anything, except to STOP them!)

The occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan have done little to improve U.S. security. They are actually counterproductive and in many ways are harming the security of the United States. They have caused the United States to have perpetrated human rights violations on innocent civilians. Many of the unmanned drones have hit the wrong targets, causing harm to innocent civilians. It would be best for U.S. troops, Iraqi civilians, and Afghani civilians, as well as the United States as a whole, if the U.S. military is withdrawn from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Have we learned nothing from the experience of the Russians?

Our presence in Afghanistan will create an increase in the number of terrorists as has happened by our military presence in Iraq. It is time we stop this madness.

War is not the answer, and might should not make right any more, since we are more reasonable today than ever before in history. Smoking is being outlawed, greenhouse gases should be outlawed, tenting houses for termites when we have orange oil that works as well and for as long a time as tenting without releasing greenhouse gases. Let the world rise above war in our lifetimes. We are rising above smoking in restaurants, on beaches and in parks. How about rising above wars.

We don't need a war in Afghanistan to protect ourselves. We need diplomacy and aid to win the hearts and minds of those who would harm us.

Bring our troops home!!! That's the best support you could give them. These arent 'wars', they are occupations. We shouldnt be there, and the people hate us more every day we are there. STOP WASTING OUR MONEY. Warmongers have made enough.

Please end the Afghan war and send our troops home. This war has gone on too long. Too many Americans have died and too many Afghans have died. Stop the madness and destruction.

please end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. War is not the answer and only makes the situation much worse and kills many people. End the wars NOW. Thank you.

If we are going to support our troops, we should bring them home, NOW!

Please end the war in Afganistan. The Taliban did not fly the planes into World Trade Center on 9/11. We are making more enemies, too many civilians are dying. Bombs and guns do not bring peace. Building schools and hospitals does.

Please vote to end The Afghan War and please do not accept any delays to the promised date to withdraw all combat troops from Iraq either. If we had the trillions of dollars already spent on the illegal occupation of Iraq and the current military assault on Afghan (with hundreds of innocent civilians already killed there and more to come), there would be a surplus of funds to pay for universal single pay health care, fix our crumbling infrastructure, advance quality of education, and put Americans back to work manufacturing goods in the USA.

Dear Government Official,
What comes to mind when you hear, "home of the free and land of the brave?" Washington comes to my mind because that is where THE government is free to run ruffshod over it's citizens and brave enough to do it openly. The recent decision of the supreme court is illustrutive of the endemic greed and corruption which has infected Washington. Pay-offs and bribery will now be legitimized as standard operating proceedure.
Does anyone in government understand what, "we the people, for the people, by the people" is supposed to mean?
Does being a member of congress require a surrender of ones' character and backbone? Why does the president act as though he is a servant of the Bush Dynasty? Why do you all act like you are in the pockets of the banking and insurance corporations?
It is said that a corporations best assets are its' people. Why don't you pass single payer healthcare and protect the best assets of your masters! HR676 for America.

are you listening,
Klaus P.Veteran 1st Calvary Division

We can't chase down every idiot that holds a grudge against the US. So, what exactly would constitute a win? Besides, the REAL threat to the american way of life is the US government.

I support ending the war in Afghanistan as quickly as possible. We can support war, but we can't support our schools. That is nonsense.

The billions if not trillions of tax payer dollars spent on war could and should be better spent to provide health care for all Americans, good education including college for all, day care for children whose parents must both work outside the home, homes for the homeless, care for the elderly, and on and on and on. Help instead of hurt.

The U.S. is justified in war action if it is in self-defense, or in coming to the aid of a close ally who was attacked.

Afghanistan did not attack the U.S. A Saudi named Bin Laden, seemingly now forgotten, decided, with an Egyptian pal, to organise attacks on the U.S. and American people.
The Afghan government was not involved.
A group of nonAFghan terrorists from many other nationalities was involved.
Mr. Bin Laden himself has moved his gang out of
Afghanistan in any case.
The U.S. has no business there. It never did have any business attacking the Afghan people or government.
We are doing one thing- creating enemies out of non-enemies. That is not smart.
Get out of Afghanistan.
The only solution is to change U.S. policies to which many foreigners object. We should work only to help the people and have good relations with them.
Remember, they are POOR.

We hear people claiming we should be following the Constitution. The Constitution places the responsibibility for declairing war with the Congress, which unfortunately has been abdicating its responsibility for years. Please debate this one, and leave the country.

End the wars for oil, get out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and take care of our people with medical coverage for all and education that will be the best in the world, and organic food for all. This is what peace can buy.
