Pass A Green Jobs Energy And Climate Bill NOW

**********

[023700:092610] m.h., Inkster, MI
Look you have beliefs in what this bill can do to revitalize our economy and to wean us off fossil feuls to increase our energy and national security. I urge you to fight like hell to get it passed and embarass the Republicans for standing in the way of job creation. I say make this a mjor election issue so the Republicans look really bad for opposing the creation of jobs during a recession in which their are double digit unemployment numbers and people out of work for years. We need the ripple effect of this bill to reduce our reliance upon foreign sources of fuels which are supplied by countries that are not our friends and who actually work against us. We need the ripple effect of the job creation that creating these jobs will cause directly and indirectly. So, make it in issue of national security in the elections as well. Push your opponents as hard as possible. Stop rolling over and spreading your legs like a scared puppy and fight for what you believe in. Don't let the Republicans control the debates any more. Our jobs, our energy security, and our national security is on the line.

Green jobs and climate bill can help put ethanol into the fuel tank of those of us who want to stop the fossil fuel giants from destroying our planet.

As the worsening oil spill makes all to clear [with decades of impact not even tallied], we are at a crossroads. We must switch to green, clean energy and jobs and bring atmospheric carbon down to 350 ppm to restore our livelyhoods, remake our economy, regain our energy independence and recreate a viable future for ourselves, our children and our grandchildren.

Thank you for your attention, time and action.

by now,i already know you guys have cancelled the climate bill and the green jobs to placate the 20 or so senators who represent little more than barbed wire and prairie dawgs, the energy interests, big pharma, the financial interests,etc,etc,-..it took all summer to pass an extension of unemployment benefits -you are truly the hollow men,the stuffed men- gettin' your share, huh.

I'd like to see some bold action taken. Announce a comprehensive program for green jobs with incentives to small companies to get on the bandwagon.

Pass a carbon tax and dividend bill, the Clear Act, now. How many oil rigs are now drilling in the Gulf of Mexico? Fight global warming! Leave the oil in the ground, leave the coal in the mine! Make all new and old nuclear power pay its own insurance. Fund passenger rail as the rest of the world does.

Please help to move us in the right direction, the direction of energy independence, sustainability, and environmental restoration, by working intensely for a new energy economy. I have no doubt that this must be the future and that it is our greatest challenge and opportunity of the present moment in history.

We can save the Earth, but we must act now! Pass legislation to reduce and control the effects of climate change. Thanks.

Green energy is the only viable future for the earth and all its inhabitants. We still have a chance to stop runaway global warming, but the window of time is only a few years. Put aside partisanship and corporate affiliations and do the only right thing--green energy now, not "cap and trade." Thank you.

To my elected representatives, I beseech you to heed the warnings of thousands of credible scientists and your own valuable common sense and realize the grave problems our reliance on fossil fuels causes the planet and the need to push for a transition to green fuels. If the obstacles seem insurmountable, or your future as a popular politician too important to threaten, or the corporate cash in your pockets too pleasing to give up, simply consider the responsibility we owe our children and the generations to come to present them with a better world than the one we inherited. If you do this, I think you will find the reasoning and strength to earnestly fight this uphill battle against the damaging status quo.

You need to do the right thing here. What is it going to take to make you realize that we cannot continue exploiting our planets resorces. We must be good stewards of our planet. There is no other choice. Re-evaluate your values and ethics.

What will it take to get you, my elected representatives, to do what's best for the people and the world instead of what's best for BP's (and Shell and Exxon etc) profits? Stop selling us out! We need green energy and green jobs now, NOT more green for oil company profits.

If this hideous mess in the Gulf of Mexico isn't the loudest WAKE UP CALL ever, I don't know what is!

PLEASE, NOW IS THE TIME FOR CLEAN ENERGY ! ! !

Please do everything you can to promote alternative, clean, renewable energy! Let's stop the insanity, the greed, the wars, the pollution today!!!

To: All you elected reps in D.C. (including Barry Soetoro)

It's quite obvious that you're part of the problem --- not part of the solution. Why don't you all do us a big favor and resign so that we can get people in who can actually handle this energy crisis?

It's very simple: SWITCH TO ALCOHOL FUELS --- PROBLEM SOLVED! (Or are you so enamored with the payola from the oil men that you'd choose death for the Earth to maintain your own status quo? You can't get any more selfish than that!)

I consider the fossil fuel and nuclear power industries to be crimes against the world. We need to abolish them immediately.

The recent Gulf Coast disaster should be a a wake up call to begin creating green jobs. This will reduce our dependence on foreign oil and provide much needed work to so many Americans. This is a win-win no-brainer.

The most important issue of our lifetime is committing to a fully green economy. This means we need creative solutions, that do NOT involve nuclear energy or drilling or coal.
