If You Have A Better Health Care Bill, Pass That Instead

The Tea Party's Ted Cruise, having apparently led a march to the White House carrying confederate flags and demanding that the president "put down his Quran" demonstrates that he has lost all sense of propriety. The GOP's unreasonable demands also demonstrate that the party has lost all sense of responsibility and ability to govern. Every one responsible for this heinous activity must be voted out of office.

I need health insurance because I have been in need of an operation for the last nearly five years. If you have a better idea than President Obama's, then present it to the American people. Otherwise, shut up and get back to work! I do not want to die from my condition, I do not to want to be left incapacitated from my condition or from getting substandard care to treat my condition and I do not want to be left bankrupt because of my condition. And I should not have to worry about this. I should have been able to get affordable health insurance years ago.

If the Republicans have a better health care bill to propose, let them put it forward and at least have one vote on it, instead of umpteen grandstanding photo-op votes on
killing the health care bill not only passed by Congress, but
endorsed by the Supreme Court.

Otherwise, give us our government back now.

You have single payer health coverage, why can't all of us have it?

The Affordable Care Act is far from perfect, but I sincerely hope it will move on to becoming a single payer system..Medicare for all.

It is truly shameful and a disgrace to our proud traditions that memebers of the house do not have a clear understanding of the differences between the debt ceiling and the federal budget and spending and the national debt and of the function of our global financial stature. And to equate them to a lever with which to expunge out of spite a legitimate health care bill that will in time help millions of United States Citizens in need. Tsk tsk . . . .

There is just nothing more that need be said ... The Tea Party is running the show and John Boehner and the rest of Congress are just lemmings.

I'm glad there is legislation that will help control out of control costs of health insurance and provide my self-employed husband and my part-time self and 2 children comprehensive medical coverage that won't bankrupt us. I think the ACA is great and am really frustrated and angry that the Republicans and Tea Party have never, ever had another solution but only obstructions. And now, they are hurting millions of people during the shutdown and still drawing their own paychecks. What a mess this country is in with leaders like that!

Although I have questions about much of the "affordable health care" bill, I don't think that the health care situation in this country was in great shape prior to it's passage either. While there have been a number of valid points raised by Republicans about the problems with the bill so far, I have'nt heard of better bill--or any kind of bill at all--to replace it!

Moreover, this bill, with all it's problems, is definitely, NOT worth worth freezing the federal budget over! What ever happened to negotiations? There are a lot more items of contention than this health care bill, are we going to have to shut down the Federal Government for each and every one of them?

Come on guys, this game is getting rather old!

Please urge House members to explain how they intend to address the problem of millions of Americans who have NO access to health care. As I recall, "Obama" Care is really the program that was originally endorsed as a Republican plan and was implemented by then Gov. Romney. What is the "new" Republican plan? Leave poor American citizens to die in the streets? The public deserves to hear their plan. Just saying NO is not enough!

The Republicans are hurting the country with their childish actions. The ACA is a law! They should do their jobs, let a clean bill go to the floor for a vote, and do what is right for the country! Last time they ruined the USA credit rating and they are going for it again. Their ego fits are NOT HELPING BUT HURTING.

Approved by the Supreme Court, passed by congress and endorsed by the american public by their election of Pres. Obama, the Affordable Health Care Act is law! Fund it as you have been directed and do your jobs.

I am so tired of the Republicans hurting the country with their childish actions. The ACA is a law! Just do your jobs and pass the clean bill or go home and quit playing with our lives.

These teapublicans are as much like "gangstas" as the Wall Street banks are. At best their behavior is seditious and at least unpatriotic. Anyone who votes for a republican after this, obviously doesn't have a clue.

Everyone is talking about how the massive bloated defense budget never comes into congressional consciousness in all this debate. Stop the furlow, get back to work, and stop the endless wars and spying on citizens.

We are sick and tired of the Republican faction continuing to disrupt our entire lives and existence playing their usual childish games over the healthcare issue causing the government shutdown. Face it, we all know their only interest is protecting the status quo for themselves and those who continue to keep them in office to maintain their interests. The bottom line of these bottom feeders is the accumulation of wealth and the extermination of us lower folks under color of law. Why don't they just fold their tents and migrate to another location. Outer space would be a viable option as that is where they are continually. If only their mothers ate their young.

What if a foreign country held the gov ofthe strongest country in the world hostage? Would you meet those demands too? Don't let Republicans hold hostage the largest institution in the free world. Support a clean budget bill and settle the ACA debate honestly.

It is time that you act like mature adults and do what is right for the country and the economy. In the end it is the citizens of this country who are suffering and eventually it will have an affect global. If this shut down continues you will pay dearly in the end. It is time to get some "balls" and eliminate Cruz and the rest of the Tea Party nut cases whose intentions all alone was to do exactly what is happening now.

Given that the Republicans have argued the health care bill would hurt the economy, no amount of slick tested talking points can disguise the fact that they are going out of their way to hurt the economy themselves, and for no productive reason.

We, the American people, say if the Republicans have a better health care bill to propose let them put it forward and at least have one vote on it, instead of umpteen grandstanding photo-op votes on killing the health care bill not only passed by Congress, but endorsed by the Supreme Court.

If we really claim status as a first-world country, it's long past time to take care of our people. Why not learn from other countries, gaining twice the positive health outcomes, for half the cost???
Let's get this done - if you have a better plan, bring it.
