Internet has become a standard utility just like electricity, water, etc. and it should be delivered equally to all.

We need to preserve Net Neutrality for the free and fair and open flow of information.
Net Neutrality is a crucial personal freedom and right that must be protect.
Internet Service Providers are common carriers and should be classified as such.
We cannot, and should not allow a two-tiered Internet that would give priority to the traffic of those who have paid for premium service.
Access to information should be equal for everyone and not controlled.
Corporate disfavor or disagreement of contrasting viewpoints will be bias and will control what we see on the Internet.
Don't let the wealthy and large corporations usurp the Internet for profits.
NO Internet monopolies! This country is being taken over by this elitist plutocracy.
Our freedom and rights are not for sale to the current plutocracy.

All websites must be treated equally, money shouldn't be the deciding factor in which websites gain traction and which don't... speed of loading is a primary issue for success of a website, and net neutrality is absolutely essential in guaranteeing an equal chance at success on the web! More access and real equality equal maximum innovation! Thank you.

Net neutrality and the free and fair flow of information are vital to a working democracy. For this internet service providers must be reclassified as common carriers. There should be no spinning with respect to this obvious fact.

On January 14, 2014, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit struck down the FCC's Open Internet rules on a technicality, that internet service providers were not classified as common carriers by the FCC. This threatens the whole future of net neutrality, and would allow big telecom companies to discriminate in how they carry internet traffic.

But all the FCC simply needs to do is correct this classification oversight, entirely within their own administrative power, and reclassify internet service providers as common carriers, which all common sense says that they are.

Leave it to Russia and China to throttle the internet. America is better than that. Our internet should be as free and open as possible.

I believe in Europe taking away net neutrality would be illegal. As American citizens we have the right to free access. Shame on any who consider doing this. In the end, it will be our downfall, and big corporations to. The American people are reaching a boiling point. This might be the last straw.

I'm writing because I am a believer in a free and open internet for everyone. This increases innovation, stimulates competition, and prevents unreasonable rate hikes. A free and open internet levels the playing field, allowing newer business to compete with larger companies, and promotes free speech. Further, a UN report has declared the internet to be a human right, allowing people to exercise their freedoms of expression, right to assembly, and their right to development (economic, social, and cultural). Please keep net neutrality! Don't let big business hijack the internet!

NO internet monopolies! This country is being taken over by this elitist plutocracy. Cable companies are all par of it. Stop the insanity now! Enough already, we are taking our country back. Obama admin, listen to "we, the people" not the oligarchic. We used to have monopoly legislation in this country to stop big business from running roughshod over the people. Where did it go? Where did common sense go? Was it always for sale? FCC, are you for sale? We shall see. Do the right thing and tell Comcast and the other thieves to go to hell, you aren't for sale. You're there to represent the good of the whole, not these special interests who have the deepest pockets.

A lack of Net Neutrality allows "big business" to decide who gets to ride on the internet freeway, while leaving the little guys in the dust. Once AGAIN, big money and power crushes the masses! That's no way to "let the free market decide".

Reclassify Internet Service Providers As Common Carriers. The internet should operate more neutrally like a library and a phone. Users should be able to search and find what they are looking for without having big corporations determine what we get to see and read and how we communicate and participate online.

Users already PAY for internet service, and we pay to access it at a promised speed by our providers. By service providers having the control over which content gets prominence and preferred speeds, it allows them to virtually silence every common user in favor of big content and mass propaganda.

Our democracy is dying! Americans are fed-up with these decisions, and fed-up with this Congress which shows a severe lack of our "representation", except for a few good people in Washington who haven't been bought and sold by big corporations and the super wealthy!

It's time to stand up for US: We the People.

Following the appeals court decision, the Federal Communications Commission has the power to stop Internet providers from selling bandwidth to the highest bidder. Reclassify broadband Internet access as a telecommunications service and preserve net neutrality before it's too late

The Internet has become so much a part of the lives of most Americans that it is easy to imagine that it will always remain the free and open medium it is now. We'd like to believe it will remain a place where you can always access any lawful content you want, and where the folks delivering that content can't play favorites because they disagree with the message being delivered or want to charge more money for faster delivery.

But there are no such guarantees.

If the government doesn't act soon, this open internet - and the "network neutrality" principles that sustain it - could be a thing of the past. Profits and corporate disfavor of controversial viewpoints or competing services could change both what you can see on the Internet and the quality of your connection. And the need to monitor what you do online in order to play favorites means even more consumer privacy invasions piled on top of the NSA's prying eyes.

Net neutrality = freedom of information

It's that simple. Stop big money from controlling information and help save our democracy.
