Bring Our Troops Home Now

I strongly urge you to OPPOSE our endless, unjust, unnecessary, and fiscally-irresponsible wars in the Middle East including Afghanistan. Whenever and wherever we intervene with our military, we make things WORSE. War is NOT the Answer.

The Middle East will always be a quagmire, because its populations cannot live in peace with one another. That is not a good reason to send our men and women there to die in Hell.

Bring our troops, all our troops, home.

Every day in the Middleast, more lives are wasted for No Good Reason.
Cheney/Bush need to be by the ICC Immediately, they are Mass Murders

Think for a moment how much money that the U.S. spends on these military incursions could be used to help out country.

We went into Afghanistan to get Bin Laden, he wasn't there, but he was gotten anyway. Mission accomplished, way past time to leave! Next, expect to hear that we have to rescue the troops left there.

President Obama said he would end war...bring all military home. We cannot solve the crises in the Middle East. Please concentrate on caring for the people in the US.

Since ending Al Qaeda's safe haven in Afghanistan, our continuing presence there, and our objectives for Afghanistan's near-term future, flies in the face of the economic, cultural and most important, political reality of the various groups of people that inhabit the region of the world that includes what is now Afghanistan.

One has to wonder about the real reasons for a continuing presence in the Middle East. In our own country it is obvious that life is very cheap and that we have our own obscenities that are not being addressed by our politicians and President. Or by "the media". If we can't get our own backyard in order in the matters of guns, drugs, and healthcare for all and continue to be dictated to by gun owners and sellers, big money and the NRA, what on earth can we bring to other countries? The reality is that we will bring more of the death and mayhem we have in our own country. And people will profit from it and excuse it because money and votes are more important than human life in the U.S.

The best of intentions is not enough. FEAR is not enough (fear is simply falling into the terrorists trap). We simply cannot have unlimited wars for any reason.

"All the King's horses and all the King's men" can't undo the damage that was done by neutralizing the forces that held a multi-ethnic, sectarian, and tribal society together. Yes, Saddam was tough and sometimes brutal with those who would dare to challenge the order his power imposed. But did those who sold us this war REALLY believe that the spirit of democracy would miraculously fill the power vacuum once that strong paternalistic force was removed? And now they want us to abandon the victims of their failure to a misguided band of psychotic decapitators? And guarantee their security with a re-trained force that runs away, leaving all their weapons and equipment to the IS? So, should we just pull out? Get away from this disaster that we have caused? Shut our eyes and plug our ears? I just signed your petition, having resisted this war from the getgo, yet failed to prevent it. But now, after seeing innocents lined up for beheading, the kidnapping and raping, the destruction of world historical religious artifacts, what could be more cruel and outrageous, and what is worthy of defending?
So NO! Don't abandon OUR victims. And YES, pull out all of our support troops and contractors, but introduce our most effective special forces (yes we have them) to deal with a medieval and dangerously suicidal fundamentalist force in order to dispatch them to their desired martyrdom.

No war, no weapons, allowed in the arising communities of the arriving future.

It is mostly thanks to the US (Iraq) and Europe (Libya) intervention that ISIS was able to grow to the extent that it has. Either keep US troops in the Middle East to fight ISIS, or get out.

Militarism is fascism and aggression. Our oath of entry into the U.S. Military pledges to defend not to aggress! We have become an international police force which was never the intention of the Founding Fathers!

Both US troops and thousands of innocents are
dying every day so we must bring all troops
home now. Stop the US invasion and killing
of innocent humans for the sake of oil.

Are we better off and more secure than we were 14 years ago? No. All the U.S. has done since 9/11 is destroy other countries with our so called "war on terrorism" and cause much grief, death, and despair. Not to mention that it has run up quite an expensive tab running in the trillions of dollars. How long can this go on?

We need to pull American troops out of the Middle East quagmire. We are not achieving anything -- in fact, we are worsening the American image abroad.

This stupidity in the Middle East needs to stop - NOW. If they can't take care of themselves and their country, then too bad so sad. Let the *rest* of the Middle East get involved in this, and when they start losing thousands of men and women, the insanity would probably stop sooner rather than later. We *cannot* and *should not* be the world's cops. ENOUGH.

We Americans are tired of perpetual war. What about that don't you get???????
