Dear Members of Congress, Have you read "Animal Farm"? You truly are the ones who, seeminly, "are more equal than others." Why can "sicko" phone companies et al have legislation that lets them off the ILLEGAL HOOK? I'm looking for government to control what I can't. Not make the big companies immune to correct appliction of freedom for all of us. Sincerely, Ray Wallace

This administration has been a deployment of the ways of the New World Order plain and simple. Every action and reaction is all for the eventual goverment takeover of this fine nations constitutional and moral rights. It doesn't surprise me that the majority of players come from a evangelical background and their degrees from some Texas bible thumping college as I understand it. It is suggested that they have been preparing for "BLACK OPERATIONS", that goes even further than wire tapping. And guess who would be on their "hit list?". NRA members, of course. Impeach the 2 leaders and throw the rest in jail... please?

This is a REPUBLIC...not a Democracy. There should be RULE OF LAW...not RULE OF MEN. It is WE THE PEOPLE, not the other way around. WE THE PEOPLE do not accept war crimes and crimes against humanity, just as there were Trials at Nuremberg, there should be trials brought against the present administration for their injustice, the destabilization of this country, as well as the other countries that they have illegally brought war against without congressional approval. Checks and balances have been taken out in order to pursue their evil agenda. Evil acts by raging a war of aggression on Afghanistan, war crimes, and crimes against humanity, against the Afghan people, against prisoners of war, and the use of radioactive depleted uranium which are weapons of mass destruction...which also have serious fall out effects on the military personnel of the United States of America, UK, and other forces deployed, and on countries, in and around the region. There has been acts of violation of treaties that are crimes, and whether the United States does them or whether Germany does them, WE THE PEOPLE are not prepared to lay down a rule of criminal conduct against others which we would not be willing to have invoked against us...by the same standards of the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg, this administration is liable not only before this Tribunal (International Criminal Tribunal for Afghanistan at Tokyo) but the entire claim of "impunity" of the government of the United States, is legally untenable, no government can surrender the right vested in its citizens to invoke International Criminal Law, not by Resolution of the Security Council nor by bilateral treaty.
All civilized states have a very real interest in the punishment of war crimes, and that, an offense against the laws of war, as a violation of the laws of nations, is a matter of general interest and concern. There are no privileged individuals, classes, groups, within and across nations. It is crystal clear that this administration has not only been elected in a seriously flawed electoral process, but has violated the Constitution of the United States of America, which they are sworn by oath to defend. They have gone well outside the rule of law have have committed war crimes, crimes of aggression, crimes against humanity...a war in which the entire infrastructure of Iraq was destroyed in a manner similar to Afghanistan, DU weapons were extensively used in both countries as weapons of extermination of present and future generations, genocidal in properties. It is only the oil pipelines, oil wells, and platforms and the contracts of corporations which had to be secured even as the livelihood and economies of both nations were destroyed. The war waged on Afghanistan was manifestly a war of aggression. WE THE PEOPLE of the United States of America, as well as the other countries affected in these war crimes call for justice...TRUTH is a weapon on the side of humanity. It is only a matter of time that the TRUTH will be exposed and the weapons of "silent genocide" will be halted by the existing Conventions of International Humanitarian Law.
The International Criminal Tribunal for Afghanistan at Tokyo, the final written opinion of Judge Niloufer Bhagwat should be read by all, and WE THE PEOPLE to ensure the implementation of it. Laws have been violated: Constitutional laws, Humanitarian laws, and God's Laws. In my personal opinion... God's Word is TRUTH. Judgment is coming, the Lord is coming. God's Word is coming to pass. We must turn to the Lord...Jesus is the DOOR...He is the ONLY way. Acts 2:38-39 is the ARK of this generation...save yourselves from this untoward generation!

I am a proud American Veteran.

I hope, expect and demand that the sacrifices which I made for our Country, and that many other Veterans have made, including the many who died, and the daily sacrifices that ALL American Citizens make in support of Freedom, will NOT be just "brushed aside," without even a second thought, and at the stoke of a pen.

As FREE Human Beings, we deserve to remain FREE, INCLUDING OUR PRIVACY, guaranteed to us by the US Constitution.

From our OATH-SWORN, elected leaders, WE THE PEOPLE deserve NOTHING LESS than their support for this long-established concept of Liberty. WE THE PEOPLE deserve NOTHING LESS than the TRUTH from our OATH-SWORN, elected leaders.

When I was inducted into the military, I swore the same OATH that our current elected leaders did when they took office. I fulfilled my OATH, and continue to Live it. I EXPECT and DEMAND, that they fulfill their OATH, and Live it.

I fought for my country to stop other countries from doing these kind of things to their people. I EXPECT this government to respect our constitutional rights. Those rogue politicians who forgot who they represent will pay dearly in their next general elections. AMERICAN IS WATCHING!!!!

Live by the sword, die by the sword. I recommend that we all Uphold the Constitution. Failure to do so is not only a crime against the U.S., but you may find that you need the protections of the constitution yourself one day.
I would never vote for anybody who refuses to defend the constitution or claims they were just following orders. We elect what are supposed to be intelligent people to represent us. Not order following drones.

Although BB and T"s accounting software is operating within legal perimeters, can we not question the flaw! If you are on Social Security/Medicare and live on One payment per month, Question this.

If you have $60. in your Checking account and spend $40. for Gas you will end up Paying -$220 to the bank before you monthly check is posted!

Bal. 60.00
Gas -40.00
BB and T ATM Fee -2.00
Gas Station ATM Fee -3.00
Gas/Bank Holding fee -100.
-145.00
+60.00
Bal. -85.00

Note: over draft -45.00 O/D fee -35.00
-100.00 O/D fee -100

-85.00
-135.00
-220.00 is the Ending balance in you checking account before the soft ware post your monthly deposit of 1020.00 which leaves you with $800. for the month.

BB and T's Accounting soft ware conducted this transaction at 22.50 something Hours on June the 3rd. Question!!!!!!

It is beyond conception that a DEMOCRATIC congress would vote to political cover to a discredited practice put into place by a discredited adminstration. It is illegal. It violates the constitution. It is frightening. Even Obama has gone against his position on this question. After the events of the last year an a half, I am left to the conclusion that the Democrats are OK with what the Bush administration has done to this country. That they're OK with warrantless wiretaps, OK with the war, OK massive corruption and torture and the deaths of thousands of innocent people. You're all unbelievable. There are times when the life of the country depends on courage and taking a stand. This is one of those times and you have all failed. What was the charge of the Republicans all these years about the Democrats? That they are weak and unprincipled? Well, apparently they were 100% correct.

How DARE Congress attempt to push through immunity for the telecom companies recruited to spy on the American Public!!??? The Nuremburg Defense was hogwash when the leaders of the Nazi Party used at the Haig. Its still hogwash, now. It smacks of a Fascist lock step following of orders in spite of any personal sense of morality or responsibility of the boards of directors of the Telecoms. Nobody buys the idea that they didn't know what they were doing was illegal!!! They should be held accountable for following illegal orders. Just as any soldier should be held accountable for following them as well.

Nixon was impeached for illegal wiretaping, some of the victims were his political oponents. Bush wants to make it "legal", to wiretap anyone, for any (or no reason), without any supervision of the courts. FISA needs no revisions, its purpose is to prevent abuse of power by the President. NO immunity for the telecom companies!!!

How can longtime American citizens be treated as terrorists, when Iraqis are given everything and treated as royalty. They get millions everyday for doing nothing, whle Americans are losing their homes and jobs. This cannot stand.

The law isn't an arbitrary thing. The telecom companies knew that to listen to people's conversations, they needed a warrant. No warrant, no listening. Simple. Congress, they don't get a get out of jail free card. This isn't a game. Vote no on telecom immunity.

This is an abomination. We are a nation of laws and besides violating our constitutional rights (fourth amendment) these Telecoms only did this for the money, as evident of how they pulled the plug on FBI surveillances, when the FBI failed to pay it's bills. For profit "patriotism" should never be rewarded by protecting the guilty.

Vote no!!!

There is no way that wiretapping can or should be allowed under the laws of the land. We should not let our government or the organizations that helped it off the hook on this issue. If we value our freedom and rights, we need to hold the white house and the telecoms industry accountable.

**********

[022023:070708] G.D., Jackson, MI
I just heard Cokie Roberts say that the Democats are confident that they can get anything they want. So why are you caving in on telecom immunity and every other pathological proposal coming from the Bush administration????

EVERYONE NEEDS TO FOLLOW THE LAW AS WRITTEN NO EXCEPTIONS EVER, DIDN'T KNOW BETTER IS NOT AN EXCUSE BEFORE THE LAW FOR A TEN YEAR OLD AND IT IS DEFIANTLY NOT AN EXCUSE FOR ADULTS, CORPORATIONS OR GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS!!! OTHERWISE OUR PRISED "RULE OF LAW" IS A TOTAL FARCE.

**********

[142310:070608] J.B., North East, MD
We must hold the Bush Administration and the telecoms who violated the Constitution accountable for their crimes.

As citizens of the US we are expected to follow the laws of the land. When and how did corportations begin to have more rights than we the people? Illegal activity has consequences and those who perpetrate crimes should be penalized regardless of who asked or told them to do it. Particularly the presidentialy branch of the government, HOLD THEM accountable. PLEASE.

I add my voice to those who are begging Congress to take action against an irresponsible, self serving Administration, who believes and has been allowed to act above the law for it's entire existance. The mantra of this Adminstration is the end justifies the means. The Telecom issue is just one more glaring example of how out of control and unfit to govern these men are. Start impeachment proceedings so that they can't do any more damage or start a war with Iran!!!

Enough. Stand up against this corrupt administration and their illegal Constitution shredding activities. Vote to remove telecom immunity loopholes. We have had enough.

I "advise-a" no FISA!: a collaboration and conspiracy against our constitutional rights by both government and big business is TYRANNY!!! To justify snooping of any citizen is in itself terrorism and a violation of everything why we are fighting terrorism in the first place.
