Among systems of financial support provided by the government, social security and Medicare/cade are funded by payroll taxes from employers and employees and they're in congruence with a society that is dominated by private insurance. Medicare/cade and social security seem more like components of universal insurance (single payer health care), and the US is completely fragmented with the health care systems of the rest of the world without accepting this fact. It seems as only a natural progression to extend access to health care to all classes and citizens of the US.

With the Republican and Tea parties busting unions and giving money away to people with incomes over $250,000 I want to make a simple and apparently obvious statement:
All people are created equal and health care is a human right.
Its the responsibility of lawmakers to navigate our political system and legal system in way that honors these American values.
The Right wing show no signs of acknowledging this and its time to hold them to their childish behavior and stand up to their grabs for power and attempts to take advantage of people's fears of the unknown. It should be known that Single Payer is a much stronger and effective version of the health care legislation than what passed last year and it is our best chance of separating our human rights from a corporate experiment gone bad.

It is totally ridiculous that in the wealthiest nation on Earth we don't provide our citizens with quality affordable Health Care. This charade has gone on long enough. The majority of the rational citizens of the United States of America want and need a single-payer tax based health care system similar to what other developed countries enjoy. The only people who do not want it either work for the health insurance industry, or are being brainwashed via the use slick marketing techniques which have been subsidized by them. We are holding American Business hostage by forcing them to pay all their employers skyrocketing premiums. Meanwhile, they go elsewhere and relocate to other countries so they will not have to continue to shoulder this financial burden. Americans are going broke as companies slash health care benefits while the employee is expected to pay out more and more of the premiums themselves. Stop this madness now! End the wealthcare welfare for the big health Insurance Companies and quit writing them a blank check.

I'm not afraid of paying a bit more tax if I can get something for it. I know that it would cost less in taxes then insurance premiums.
The last try on this was a joke with lobbies buying senators.
Not even a real public option.

Civilized nations have national health plans. Start listening to the Citizens of the US and stop listening to the "unHealth" insurance companies.

The most important thing to emphasize right now is "Single Payer", NOT Public Option. Public Option is a farce. Single Payer is the ONLY decent addition to be made to any Health Care Reform. Please, let us not fool ourselves or each other.

I'm caught in the middle! ...not quite old enough for Medicare, and not young enough for affordable health insurance. After being laid off from Bank of America, the cost to stay with the Corporate plan for me and my son was over $1300/month! And most of that money is wasted overhead.profits to the medical industry. How did this happen? It's called corporate greed. I'm just one of the millions seeking affordable health care. We need single payer health care NOW. I beg you to support a single payer health care system. It's the only option that will meet the needs of all Americans and at the same time eliminate the costly overhead of so much paper waste. Please support this sytem

It is way past time for the passage of a healthcare system that will serve ALL US citizens, not just the wealthy. A one payer system is the way to go. No one should be denied medical help in this country because they cannot afford high insurance premiums. Insurance companies should not have the final say on who gets treatment for what and no one should be denied treatment for legitimate ills.
We need single payer coverage NOW!

Single payer healthcare is the right thing to do. At least give us the public option. The same that you have had the priveledge of using, being our legislator. Lobbyists should not have a louder voice than the people that have elected you. Stop listening to them. Thank you.

When 45,000 Americans die needlessly every year because they lack health care and health care costs bankrupt approx. 3 million more, aren't we doing something wrong? Coverage for all is the only answer.

Single-payer with a lifetime electronic record of each American citizen is the only way to go. Insurance companies have been "nickle-and-diming" the public for decades, looking for ways to weasel out of paying for services their "insured" thought they had bought. Why do they oppose electro-med so much? Because that would end denial of service for failure to fully report all medical issues in one's lifetime (how the hell is someone supposed to remember rosacea at age two or age 92)? Trusting one's healthcare to corporate bodies whose nature is inherently psychotic in UNAMERICAN!
