What else can we do to have an impact?

If you are a webmaster, you can get a copy of this whole form for your website, and it will submit directly to all your members of Congress at once, just like the one here. All you have to do is download the zip file with two simple easy to use modules and drop them into your own pages. Join the coalition of the active!

Download first, then unzip

Plus when you submit the form BELOW, it will also return the voice and fax phone numbers of your particular member of the House of Representatives if you want to contact them in person too!

Why don't you tell Congress where you stand? Here, we'll make it easy for you. All you have to do is fill in one form now and with one click we will send your personal message to both of your senators, your house representative too. We'll even look them up based on your address and tell you who they are. Just a few simple words from you mean more than any form letter can. Please read the question carefully to make sure your vote matches your comments.

The Senate voted to pass the bankrupty abuse prevention act. With the exception of a minor rewording of the definition of "special circumstances" and exempting totally disabled veterans, every proposed amendment, including those attacking predatory lending practices and corporate retirement fund theft was blocked. If you think the bill should now be passed by the house (S 256) as well, then vote "Yes", otherwise if you believe it does not strike a fair balance between the rights of consumers and power of banks and credit card companies, then vote "No". Feel free to address any additional issues in your personal message. Even if you don't think your particular representatives would agree with your position it is important for them to hear from you. Constituent info:
FirstName: LastName:
Most members of congress will not accept an email without a street address. Some require a phone number. This information is not transmitted in messages sent to any additional "friends" emails.

State: Zip: Phone:
Next add your own personal message to your Congress:
To copy from or paste into this area (advisable for longer messages) you can use your menu Edit->Copy and Edit->Paste functions, after dragging your mouse (left click down) across the text to highlight. 5,000 character limit.

This is an important section. Your members of Congress want to know what you think. All comments should be appropriately respectful and in acceptable taste. The way to have maximum impact is by sending voting invitations to as many of your fellow constituents as possible and encourage them to make their voices heard also.
Submit the email addresses of friends to invite to vote:

Messages log for this question:
In the spirit of transparency and based your requests, you may now Click Here To View The Last 25 Messages Transmitted. This will allow you to confirm that your messages have been received and logged accurately by our system (much like a weblog), allow our participants to get a sense of what their fellow constituents are thinking, plus allow any party receiving digests from us to monitor the integrity of the messages transmitted by us to them. We will endeavor to truncate most personal contact information (otherwise included in those digests and in your direct transmissions) from the display here for privacy reasons, though in the case of such information included in the body of your comments themselves, we may not catch some variant spellings.

Please tell us if you like this new experimental feature by Your Kind Support, and we will extend this capability to our other issue pages, and we will continue to respond your requests for the innovative functions you want to see on the site.

If you have a reasoned persuasive position please immediately Submit your pro or con statements and we will post them here. We will give priority to published authors and those with their own websites, but all thoughtful submissions will be considered. Mission Statement:
Our democracy is only as strong as the participation of the people. Do your representatives only hear from you once every two or four years, assuming you vote at all? There are members of Congress who publicly bemoan the fact that they don't hear from more of their constituents more often. Our leaders are our generals in the political arena, but we are their troops. They can't do battle for us against opposing interests without being able to demonstrate our ongoing support. The People's Email Network is constructed to facilitate communication with our elected officials. By your participation you can establish that you are a voter who will call your government to account at each successive election. Your views do count. They will be heard. And most importantly, when you cast your votes in the section above, be sure to use the ground-breaking input functions of our website to also submit the email addresses of everyone you know. In this way we can together mobilize the entire country to speak in the loudest possible voice.
